The Adidas Samba Nylon x Wales Bonner Desert White is another wonderfully crafted iteration of London-based designer Grace Wales Bonner’s love letter to the Adidas Samba. Made for 2024 coinciding with the Wales Bonner fashion label’s 10th-year celebrations, this colourway, the Desert White, merges European functionality with a distinctive Afro-Atlantic aesthetic. Utilising a collection of mostly earthy tones this design couples light brown leather with beige suede accents which make up the majority of the shoe’s colour palette. Crisp white suede found on the heel tab and the iconic side wall 3-stripes offer contrast, with a much-needed pop of colour coming from the volt blue inner lining. A classic gum rubber sole completes the look, ensuring the source material’s unmistakable DNA is intact even on this modern take on a terrace classic.
