The Adidas Samba Nylon x Wales Bonner Wonder Clay Royal is another wonderfully crafted iteration of London-based designer Grace Wales Bonner’s love letter to the Adidas Samba. Made for 2024 coinciding with the Wales Bonner fashion label’s 10th-year celebrations, this colourway, the Wonder Clay Royal, douses the silhouette in clean clay leather with a supporting role played by nappy suede on the T-toe and eyestays. The everpresent sidewall 3-stripes have received the premium treatment by swapping out the traditional materials for blue faux croc skin which pays homage to the iconic “Alligator Records” Adidas Superstar released in 2008. Underneath, a staple of the brand, a gum rubber sole brings a strong foundation to this sleek and stylish design.
