Revealed as one member of the initial 5 pair group released in September 2017 as part of Virgil Abloh’s flagship Off-White x Nike collaboration – “The Ten” Collection. His debuting vision including deconstructed takes on Nike classics; Air Jordan 1, Nike Blazer, Nike Air Presto, and Nike Air VaporMax, all featuring alongside the Off-White Air Max 90 OG in this showcase. The premise for these designs was to take classic Nike silhouettes to new and exciting places, and nothing can be more iconic than the Air Max 90 as a canvas to build on. The Off-White Air Max 90 OG pays homage to the original, respecting the iconic silhouettes integrity as a classic, with the words ‘Beaverton, Oregon USA’ and ‘1990′ printed on the shoe’s exterior as a nod to the roots of this modern monolith. Combining a white leather upper with ice blue foam and grey suede overlays creating a very modern colourway for this shoes newest evolution. What Virgil has ushered in with these shoes is nothing short of a masterpiece. Breathing new life into some of the world’s most recognisable styles. The Air Max 90 is arguably the most iconic of the lot, and this reimagining is fitting of its stature.
