Inspired by the Georgetown Hoyas, the Nike Air More Uptempo Georgetown utilises a colour palette of Cool Grey and Midnight Navy hues that decorate the entirety of this shoe’s unique leather upper. Beyond the colour blocking, a tonal midsole and rubber outsole sit underfoot, accompanied by an Air unit that offers additional comfort and a smoother stride. What really elevates this homage to perhaps the greatest college basketball team of the ’80s and ’90s is how the colourway is applied to the truly whimsical and difficult-to-describe Air More Uptempo shape. Staying true to its unmistakable aesthetic with the bubble print “Air” motif on the side panel of both shoes in the pair is certainly striking, and the way the navy subtly complements the more understated grey is considered a match made in heaven for this altogether exceptional release.
