In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Nike released the Dunk High PRM Somos Familia design in September 2022. The classic basketball silhouette receives a unique twist, featuring a yellow and brown colour palette with various traditional Hispanic-inspired motifs across the upper. The distinctive iteration has a split design to represent salt and water, which are offerings placed at an altar to honour the deceased while helping to guide their souls to home. It will be almost impossible to miss the unique motifs. For instance, the embroidered sun across the lateral toe box and quarters add texture, colour, and character to the much-loved design, contrasting with Yellow Ochre overlays and Safety Orange suede Nike Swooshes on the sidewalls. Helping to balance the mix of colours is the crisp white midsole, which is completed by a gum rubber outsole that provides excellent traction.
