The Yeezy Foam Runner Ararat debuted at London Fashion Week 2020 to much acclaim and launched in June of the same year via Kanye West’s Yeezy Supply site. The distinctive colourway is inspired by Kim Kardashian’s Armenian heritage and named after Mount Ararat, a volcanic mountain found in the Armenian Highlands that is believed to be the home of Noah’s Ark. At first glance, you might question how the shoe relates to the mountain, but the white aesthetic is inspired by the snow-caps of Ararat. The execution is just as interesting as the slip-on’s history, as it is created from a unique foam compound that combines harvested algae with a lightweight EVA. As a result, the Yeezy Foam runners will feel comfortable and lightweight each time you slide them onto your feet. The monochromatic colourway and sculpted lines create a futuristic aesthetic while complementing many everyday looks. The oval cut-outs across the upper boost airflow, making the slip-ons ideal for the beach or street.
