The traditional Air Force 1 we all know and love is here transformed for a November 2017 release. Abloh’s now signature “ghosting” effect which is a core fundamental of his ‘The Ten’ collection has transitioned this away from a classic Air Force 1 with the deployment of a translucent upper. Virgil Abloh himself has described the Off-White x Air Force 1 OG as one of his most experimental designs from this collection. Virgil takes this foundational Nike trainer and strips it down to almost the padding, leaving only the core elements, almost as if you are wearing the skeleton of an Air Force 1. This is a unique take on a Nike staple which has dated as far back as the 1980s, but make no mistake, this iteration couldn’t be more current for 2017.
