Comme des Garçons x Nike AF1 Mid Black

This week we see the return of the Comme des Garçons x Nike collaboration. The two brands link up regularly, with CDG bringing their unique Japanese style to classic Nike silhouettes. In recent years we have seen CDG deconstruct the Air Max 95 and Air Mowabb to massive success. Fortunately for us, they have decided to give the Air Force 1 the same treatment. The uppers come crafted from the finest, luxury leathers; only specific design elements look to have been cut out and re-placed onto the shoe. By doing this, the swoosh and the eye stays give off the illusion they are floating. The raw edges add to the deconstructed vibe that Comme des Garçons has mastered in recent years. CDG branding has been hot-pressed into the ankle strap, whilst the Nike Air branding on the heel is switched out for an embroidered swoosh. Underfoot, the classic Nike Air technology runs along the instantly recognisable heavy sole that has become equally as iconic on the silhouette itself. Coming in two of the AF1’s most popular colourways, the Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Force 1 Mid is a must-cop for sneakerheads.
